First draft of my short film

This is the first draft of my A2 media short film. There are a few changes that I would like to change to the film before it is finished. These changes have been influenced by the feedback that I have received from target audience. The biggest change that I want to make is the end graveyard scene. I feel as though the scene doesn't really work well and it isn't clear to the audience what is happening in the scene. I feel as though it doesn't look realistic enough to create the effect on the audience that I would like, so it needs to be re-filmed.
To improve it I think that filming it in an actual graveyard will add to the scene and make it more clear, and if the friends are putting the flowers down at an actual grave it will make it more emotional because it will be more believable.
Another change that I want to make is that I want to change the music that I have used for the beginning and middle parts of the film. I don't feel as though it fits the storyline well and when I asked my audience for feedback, they agreed with me and said that it would be better if different music was used.

Clip from my short film: part 2.

This is another scene from my short film that I have decided didn't look right and re-film. The lighting in the scene is too dark and it doesn't fit as well as I originally thought it did. I have decided to re-film it so that it has better lighting and it flows better.

Clip from my short film: part 1

This is a clip from my short film that I have decided to cut out and re-film. The scene doesn't really fit well together and doesn't create the effect that I wanted it to, therefore I have decided to re-film it so that it looks better in the film.

Short film screenshots two

These are some screenshots of some of the earlier scenes in my short film. The first is medium shot of the main character looking dejected after the teacher ignores her when she has her hand up. The second screenshot is of the main character and other students walking towards school, to show the audience a passage of time and a new location. The third screenshot is from one of the shots in the classroom scene, in which the teacher looks up to greet the class entering the room. The fourth screenshot shows the class waiting outside of the classroom waiting to enter, and the fifth screenshot is a long shot of the class, and the main character has her hand up waiting for the teacher to answer her.

Ancillary task progression three

Since my last progression post, I have added a block of text containing the credits for the film underneath the masthead. As well as this, I have played around with the position of the masthead and the images of the production companies at the bottom, as I didn't feel as though the position fit correctly. I felt that in the earlier images in this post, the masthead was too high up on the poster and it needed to be further down in order to let the audience see the full effect of the image.
